We are starting a new year and with it new resolutions, new goals and, of course, new trends.

It's time to take a look at our wardrobe to decide what we are going to wear this year, what to keep and what to leave behind.

Fashion helps us to give the best version of ourselves, it gives us confidence and this indirectly influences all aspects of our lives. Taking into account the latest trends in clothing makes us feel good about ourselves and consequently about our environment. So let's take a look at the top trends in this 2021 full of expectations.

What fabrics to wear this season?

Knitwear: It is a timeless fabric that we normally associate with winter, but we can adapt it to any time of the year.

Lately we have started to witness a real "comeback" of cardigans. They have become the protagonist of our daily looks. It is very trendy to combine them with embroidered cropped tops and shorts.

As we said, it is a timeless fabric since 2021 presents us with thinner knitted garments, knitted cardigans are shortened and become cropped and now there are many bets that replace knitted shorts with midi skirts to create the perfect total look.

Leather effect: When we talk about leather, we no longer only refer to the black biker jacket. Leather has spread to other garments, colours and cuts.

Mini-dresses, shorts, oversize coats, everything is possible.

Style trends:

The masculine style: It is very easy to recreate with basic garments that we all have in our wardrobe. Choose a basic shirt, an oversized blazer and dress trousers. You can balance your masculine look with more feminine make up and shoes, or on the contrary, reaffirm your masculine side with flat oxford shoes or sneakers.

Now we will integrate it into our daily wardrobe in a more subtle way, light colours, comfortable fabrics and combined with more chic garments such as a shoulder bag and a maxi coat.

What should we leave behind and what should we recover from our wardrobe?

• Forget organza shirts, welcome to country shirts!

Opt for romantic, country or retro style blouses. Choose those with Victorian collars, ruffles, baby necks, ...

• Forget fluor colours, welcome to neutral colours!

Nude colours, earth colours, range of browns and yellows. Especially trendy are those ranging from vanilla to light yellow.

• Forget skinny trousers, welcome to flared, cropped and flare trousers!

2021 is the year you should try a different kind of jeans. Bell-bottoms will be the silhouette we'll be looking for, 70's style.

• Welcome miniskirts!

The mini skirt is one of the garments that we must have as part of a woman's wardrobe. It is omnipresent on the catwalks of the spring-summer collections with floral prints and we also see it every winter combined with tights or socks, and this year 2021 will be no different in this respect.

• Forget bare legs, welcome colourful tights!

White stockings, crystal stockings, stockings with logos, drawings, stitching, embroidery... An accessory that can change your look completely.

Mini skirt with socks or stockings and college shoes will be a hit this season.

• Welcome to the oversize era!

From maxi coats to shirts, oversize fashion is a must this season.
