Tips for buying clothes online in sales

The long-awaited sales are here, something we've been waiting for since the season started and we saw those models that we needed to have in our wardrobe but that our economy couldn't afford at that moment.

Now is the time!

Most of our favourite shops have already started their sales and the discounts they are offering are very attractive; from 20% to 80%. Who can resist these super prices?

For those of us who hate the huge queues we find during the sales in physical shops to try on, to pay... we are so grateful to be able to shop online, we wouldn't know how to live without it.

Why buy online? Well, because it arrives at your home, you can try it on at your leisure, you can decide whether to keep the garment or not within 15 days and if you don't like it you can easily exchange it, because they also pick it up at your home, it's a marvel! There are all advantages!

But before we jump in and start buying without measure and spend several months' wages, here are some tips on how to buy clothes in the sales in a smart way so that those bargains don't get left hanging with the label in the wardrobe and we never wear them.

What do we have to take into account when buying in online sales?

Make a list of everything you want to buy online in the sales.

Calmly assess what garments: dresses, trousers, skirts, long dresses... we want to buy in the sales, we make a list that allows us to go straight to buy it and thus avoid deviating from our goal, we know that our eyes are going to go to everything and especially if you see it super discounted. We know that there are many things that you've had your eye on since the beginning of the season, so go back to the website and check that they are still available.

We have to be aware that many of the clothes we want are not 100% necessary, so we have to make a B list or mark in our list of things we want to buy what is really necessary and we know we are going to use it, either because we have an upcoming event, we need it to go to work or anything else.

Once we have this list defined, we know that these garments are our first objective and the others that would be pending are the ones we can leave for the last minute, for that moment of super super super super super super super sales.

But if there is something that you know you don't need but that they are in love with, don't be afraid to treat yourself to something that will surely be well deserved.

This point is essential, otherwise we will cry when we see our account at the end of January, as we will probably spend more than we can afford, and the marketing and convincing strategies used by brands make it very tempting to buy more.

If this budget is unfortunately not enough to buy everything on the list of things you want to buy online in the sales, you will have to forget about those items that are not the ones you have marked as necessary.

As we have indicated in the point in which we made the list of necessary garments, it is very important to be very objective when buying online in the sales.

We are wrapped up in that aura in which we like everything, we love everything, no matter what size it is, no matter how cheap it is, it has to be mine, and that can't be, we must be aware of what we are going to buy and what we are going to use it for.

Reinforcing our wardrobe with basics that never go out of fashion will ensure that we will use the clothes we buy online in sales for a long time and we will have in our conscience that our money has been invested correctly and we have not wasted it. The same happens in the case of clothes for special occasions; for example, if we know that we have an upcoming event such as a wedding, a christening, a communion, ... among others, we know that we will need a series of looks to go to them and that they are usually garments with a high price, well, now is the time to buy them.

We should choose garments in fabrics that are suitable for both the autumn-winter and spring-summer seasons, although we can also choose fabrics that are purely seasonal, such as velvets for the winter season or chiffons for the summer season.

We are not going to wear velvet in July, but we will wear a silk or satin knit dress in winter; simply by adding an accessory to keep us warm, such as a fur stole. However, if that velvet dress is a simple and timeless design, I can wear it next season without it looking old-fashioned.
